FAQs
What is the difference between a surface mount and an inset basin?
A surface mount basin sits entirely on top of the bench, while an inset basin drops into a cut-out so only its rim shows. Surface mount basins are more of a feature and need a taller tap.
How high should a vanity be for an above counter basin?
Add the basin height to the vanity height to get the finished rim height. Many people lower the vanity slightly so the rim stays comfortable to use. Check the basin height on the product page and agree the final height with your installer.
Do I need a tap hole in my benchtop?
Only if you use a tall basin mixer on the bench. A wall mixer and spout need no hole in the top, and Nood Co shelf basins carry the mixer on their own ledge.
Are these basins the same as vessel basins?
Yes. Surface mount, above counter and vessel are different names for a basin that sits on top of the bench. Every basin in this collection can be installed this way.
