Flush pulls for cavity sliding doors

A cavity sliding door disappears into the wall, so a normal lever handle would stop it sliding fully into the cavity. A cavity slider is a flush pull set into the face of the door, so the door glides past the frame without catching. It is the usual choice for ensuites, walk-in robes, pantries and laundries, where a swinging door would get in the way.

Our cavity slider is solid stainless steel with a PVD finish in Aged Bronze, Brushed Gold, Brushed Nickel, Gunmetal or Matte Black. It is designed to sit alongside the Knurled, Linear and Luma ranges, so a sliding door can match the hinged doors in the rest of the house.

What to check before you buy

  • Door type: cavity sliders are for doors that slide into a wall cavity. Barn-style doors on a surface track can use a standard pull instead.
  • Door thickness: check the product page for the door thickness the slider suits, and confirm it with your builder or carpenter.
  • Privacy: an ensuite or toilet on a sliding door may need a way to lock it. Work out which doors need privacy before you order.
  • Fitting: a flush pull sits in a routed pocket in the door, so it is best installed by a carpenter.

Match it to the rest of the house

The easiest way to get a consistent look is to choose one finish for every door. Pair the slider with door handles, door hinges and door stops in the same colour, or start with a hardware package for your hinged doors and add sliders where you need them.

The finish usually follows the tapware. Matte black suits a monochrome scheme, brushed gold and aged bronze warm up timber and stone, and brushed nickel and gunmetal keep things quiet.

FAQs

What is a cavity slider?

It is a flush pull recessed into the face of a cavity sliding door. Because it sits flat, the door can slide fully into the wall without the pull catching on the frame.

Will the cavity slider match my Zephra door handles?

Yes. It comes in the same five PVD finishes as the Knurled, Linear and Luma door handles, so a sliding door can match the hinged doors around it.

Can I fit a cavity slider myself?

It is possible if you are handy, but the door needs a neat recess routed to the right depth. Most people have a carpenter or builder fit it, ideally before the door is hung.

Which rooms suit a cavity sliding door?

Cavity sliders are popular for ensuites, walk-in robes, pantries and laundries. They also help anywhere a swinging door would block a hallway or bump into furniture.
