Door stops that look the part

A door stop protects your walls, handles and any tiles or plaster behind the door. It is a small piece, but it sits in plain view, so it should match the rest of the hardware. Our door stops are solid stainless steel with a PVD finish, in three profiles:

  • Door Stop: a plain, smooth stop that sits with the Luma range.
  • Knurled Door Stop: the diamond-knurled texture of the Knurled range.
  • Linear Door Stop: the fine fluting of the Linear range.

Finishes include Brushed Gold, Matte Black, Brushed Nickel, Aged Bronze and Gunmetal. Not every profile comes in every colour, so check the product page for the finish you need.

Where to put a door stop

A wall-mounted stop sits on the skirting or low on the wall, where the door would otherwise hit. Position it so it meets the door towards the handle side, not close to the hinges, where the leverage can strain them. If the door opens onto a tiled wall, drill carefully with a tile bit, or fix through a grout line, to avoid cracking the tile.

Wall-mounted or floor-mounted?

Wall-mounted stops are tidy and keep the floor clear, which makes cleaning easier. Floor-mounted stops suit doors that swing away from any wall, such as into the middle of a room. Our range is wall-mounted, so check there is a wall or skirting in the door's swing before you order. Plan one stop for every hinged door, including wardrobes and linen cupboards that open against a wall.

Finish the set

Pair your stops with door handles, door hinges and locks in one colour. If you are fitting out a whole house, a hardware package groups the handle, lock, hinges and stop for each door, which makes ordering simpler. Browse the full steel range in metal hardware.

FAQs

Where should a wall-mounted door stop go?

Fix it to the wall or skirting where the door would swing into it, lined up with the door towards the handle side. That stops the handle hitting the wall and keeps strain off the hinges.

Can I fix a door stop to a tiled wall?

Yes, with care. Use a tile or diamond drill bit, start slowly without hammer action, and use the right wall plug for what is behind the tile. Drilling through a grout line is the safest option.

Do the door stops match the Zephra door handles?

Yes. The knurled and linear stops share the textures of those handle ranges, and the plain stop suits the smooth Luma lever. All are PVD finished stainless steel.

Which door stop finishes can I choose from?

The range covers Brushed Gold, Matte Black, Brushed Nickel, Aged Bronze and Gunmetal, though not every profile comes in every colour. The product page shows the finishes for each stop.
