Bidet toilet suites and an electronic bidet seat from the Caroma Urbane II range, for bathrooms where you want built-in washing without a separate bidet fixture.

Bidet suite or bidet seat?

There are two ways to add a bidet to a bathroom. A bidet toilet suite is a complete toilet with the bidet built in, so it suits a new bathroom or a full renovation. A bidet seat replaces the seat on a compatible pan, which makes it the simpler choice when your toilet is staying.

Everything in this collection comes from Caroma's Urbane II range, with its crisp, squared-off lines. The Urbane II Electronic Bidet Seat is designed for Urbane II pans, so check compatibility on the product page before you order it for an existing toilet.

Three ways to install a bidet suite

  • Wall faced close coupled, back entry: the cistern sits on the pan and the water supply comes out of the wall behind it.
  • Wall faced close coupled, bottom inlet: the same look, with the water connecting underneath the cistern instead.
  • Invisi Series II wall faced: the cistern is hidden inside the wall and you flush with a wall-mounted flush button. It gives the cleanest look and leaves more room in a tight bathroom.

Wall faced pans sit flush against the wall, so there are no exposed pipes or awkward gaps to clean behind. Every suite uses Caroma's Cleanflush rimless bowl.

What to plan before you buy

An electronic bidet runs on mains power. Ask your electrician for a suitable outlet within reach of the toilet, and have it put in before the walls are tiled. Your plumber will connect the water supply to the bidet at the same time as the toilet.

If you choose an in-wall cistern, the frame goes in before the wall is sheeted. That means picking your suite early in the job, not after the tiles are up.

Finish the room

Match your bidet with Caroma tapware and basins, and add a toilet roll holder in the same finish as your taps. FAQs

Does an electronic bidet seat need a power point?

Yes. An electronic bidet seat runs on mains power, so it needs a suitable outlet within reach of the toilet. Have a licensed electrician install it, ideally before the bathroom is tiled.

Will the Urbane II bidet seat fit my existing toilet?

It is made for Caroma Urbane II pans. Check the compatibility notes on the product page, or call us with your toilet model before you order.

Is a bidet toilet harder to keep clean than a standard toilet?

Not really. The Cleanflush bowl has no rim, so there is no hidden ledge for grime to build up under. The wall faced pan also closes the gap at the back, which makes the floor around it quicker to wipe.

Do I need a plumber to install a bidet suite?

Yes. A bidet suite connects to your water supply and waste like any toilet, and in-wall models need a frame built into the wall. A licensed plumber should install it and can advise which inlet suits your bathroom.
