The look of concrete, without the cracks

A polished concrete or microcement floor looks great, but it can crack, stain and needs regular resealing. Concrete-look tiles give you the same soft, tonal surface in porcelain or ceramic that needs no sealing, wipes clean and stays consistent from room to room. Most of the range is porcelain and suits floors and walls.

Our concrete look ranges

  • Microcement and plaster: Micro Cement White Textured in 600 x 600 mm and the Italian 3D Plaster Series bring a hand-trowelled feel to walls.
  • Classic cement: Urban 2.0, Balance, Venice Crema Matt and Avoca Stone for floors in light and mid tones.
  • Italian and Spanish ranges: Boost, Boost Expression, Bottega, Lamu, Vela and Bauhome.
  • Porcelanosa wall tiles: Santorini Bone, Terra Bone and the textured Line Terra Bone at 596 x 1500 mm. See Porcelanosa.
  • Budget friendly: Builders Range Polar Ice, Patrone Ash and Cement White; see builder ranges.

Sizes and finishes

Concrete looks best in large sizes with few grout lines. The main formats are 600 x 600, 300 x 600 and 600 x 1200 mm, with 800 x 800 and 900 x 900 mm for open plan floors. Most tiles are matt; a few have a 3D texture for feature walls. Indoor floor tiles are mainly rated P3, and External finishes suit balconies and patios. Browse large format tiles for more big sizes.

Styling a concrete look

  • Warm minimal: bone or cream concrete with timber vanities and brushed brass.
  • Industrial: mid grey with matte black tapware and black frames.
  • Soft colour: the range also includes sage, light blue, burgundy and mustard for a playful twist on cement.

Concrete looks also make a calm base for a bold feature, such as terrazzo or a 3D texture wall. For more neutral options, see grey tiles and white tiles.

FAQs

Is a concrete look tile better than a polished concrete floor?

It depends on your priorities. A concrete-look tile needs no sealing, will not crack across the whole floor and can be replaced tile by tile. Polished concrete is jointless but needs a perfect slab and ongoing resealing.

Can I get a microcement look without microcement?

Yes. Tiles such as Micro Cement White Textured and the 3D Plaster Series copy the soft, trowelled look of microcement in porcelain. They are more resistant to water and stains, which helps in showers and around basins.

What grout colour suits concrete look tiles?

Choose a grout that matches the tile as closely as possible, usually a soft grey or warm white. That keeps the surface looking like one continuous slab.

Do concrete look tiles make a room feel cold?

They can if everything is grey. Warm the look with bone or cream tones, timber, natural fabrics and brass or bronze tapware. Underfloor heating also works well under porcelain.
