Kitchen mixers for every sink

A kitchen tap gets used more than any other tap in the house, so it pays to choose the style that suits how you cook and clean. This collection brings together sink mixers from Caroma and Meir that sit on the bench or sink deck and run hot and cold from one lever.

  • Sink mixers: a fixed spout and a single lever. Simple, tidy and easy to keep clean, as in the Caroma Liano II, Riviere and Urbane II sink mixers.
  • Pull out mixers: the spray head pulls out on a hose so you can rinse the whole sink and fill pots on the bench. Choose from Contura II, Liano II, Riviere and Urbane II pull out models, or the compact Meir Round Piccola.
  • Pull down mixers: a taller spout with a head that pulls straight down into the sink. The Liano II pull down mixers add a dual spray, and one version adds sensor control for hands-free use.

Height, reach and sink size

Check the spout height against any shelves or a window above the sink, and make sure the spout reaches the centre of the bowl. A tall pull down mixer suits a deep single bowl, while a lower sink mixer suits a double bowl or a sink under a window. Also check the number of tap holes in your sink or benchtop before you order.

Matching finishes in the kitchen

Most of these mixers come in several finishes. Chrome is the classic choice and hides water marks. Matte black stands out against white or light stone benchtops. Brushed brass and gold bring warmth to timber and terrazzo. Nickel, bronze and gunmetal sit in between. Pair the finish with your cabinet handles for a joined-up look.

Plan the tap with your splashback

A kitchen mixer is easiest to choose alongside the kitchen tiles and splashback tiles behind it. Our tapware is WELS rated and WaterMark certified. Visit our Rockdale showroom to see finishes next to tiles, or browse all tapware.

FAQs

What is the difference between a pull out and a pull down kitchen mixer?

A pull out mixer has a shorter spout and a head that pulls towards you on a hose, which is handy for filling pots on the bench. A pull down mixer has a taller arched spout and a head that pulls straight down into the sink. Both make rinsing the whole bowl easier than a fixed spout.

What does a dual spray kitchen mixer do?

A dual spray head switches between a normal aerated stream and a spray. The stream is for filling and the spray is for rinsing dishes and cleaning the sink.

Is a sensor kitchen mixer worth it?

A sensor mixer starts and stops the water when you wave a hand near it, so you do not touch the tap with messy hands. It suits busy kitchens and anyone who cooks a lot. It needs power or batteries, so check the product page for the installation details.

Which kitchen tap finish is most practical?

Chrome is the easiest to keep spotless and shows the fewest water marks. Matte black, brass and gunmetal look softer but need a gentle wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap, never abrasive cleaners.
