Freestanding bath fillers from Caroma

A freestanding bath filler is a tall spout that stands on the floor beside the bath, with the mixer built into its column. It suits a freestanding bath that sits away from the wall, where a wall spout cannot reach. Every filler in this collection is from Caroma, so you can match it to the same range at the basin and in the shower.

  • Caroma Liano II: a freestanding bath filler, plus versions with a hand shower in both a complete kit and a trim kit.
  • Caroma Riviere: a freestanding bath filler with hand shower, as a complete product or a trim kit.
  • Caroma Urbane II and Contura II: freestanding bath fillers without a hand shower.

With or without a hand shower

A filler with a hand shower lets you rinse hair, wash children or clean the bath without a separate shower outlet. It adds a hose and holder on the column. If you only need to fill the bath, a plain filler gives a cleaner outline. See hand showers for other handsets.

Complete kit or trim kit?

A complete kit includes the parts that go under the floor as well as the visible column. A trim kit is the visible part only. It is used when the under-floor parts are already in place, or bought separately. Read the inclusions on each product page and confirm with your plumber before ordering.

Planning the install

Floor-mounted fillers need hot and cold pipes run up through the floor before it is tiled, so position the bath first and mark the filler on the plan. Leave room to walk around the bath and reach the handle. Keep the filler close enough that the spout lands well inside the bath.

If your bath sits against a wall, a wall mixer with a bath spout may be simpler. Most fillers come in chrome, nickel, gold and bronze, with some in black and gunmetal. Plan the floor around it with our bathroom tiles.

FAQs

Do I need a freestanding bath for a floor-mounted bath filler?

It is designed for one. A floor-mounted filler stands beside a bath that sits away from the wall. For a bath built in against the wall, a wall mixer and bath spout is usually the simpler choice.

What is the difference between a bath filler complete kit and a trim kit?

A complete kit includes the under-floor parts and the visible column. A trim kit is only the visible column and handle, used when the under-floor parts are already installed or bought separately. Check the product page and ask your plumber which you need.

When does a floor-mounted bath filler need to be plumbed?

The pipes have to come up through the floor before the screed and tiles go down. Position the bath first and mark the filler on your plan, so the plumber can rough it in at the right spot.

Which Caroma bath fillers include a hand shower?

The Liano II freestanding bath filler with hand shower and the Riviere freestanding bath filler with handshower both include one. The Urbane II and Contura II fillers in this collection are spout only.
