Heated towel rails from Caroma and Meir in vertical, horizontal and ladder styles, for warm, dry towels in finishes that match your tapware.

Warm towels, drier bathroom

A heated towel rail keeps towels warm and helps them dry faster between uses. That helps keep a busy bathroom fresher and adds a small touch of comfort on cold mornings. Unlike a plain towel rail, it is wired to power, so it needs some planning before the walls are finished.

Styles in the range

  • Caroma Liano II: a heated towel ladder, plus horizontal and vertical heated rails.
  • Caroma Urbane II: horizontal and vertical heated rails.
  • Meir: a heated vertical towel rail.

Horizontal rails are wide and low, and suit the space above a bath or under a window. Vertical rails are tall and narrow, and fit a slim wall beside a vanity or shower. A ladder has several bars, so it holds more towels at once.

Finishes

Every heated rail here comes in black, gold, nickel, bronze and gunmetal, so it can match your mixers and accessories. Only one model is offered in chrome. See your finish across the rest of the room in black tapware, gold and brass tapware or gunmetal tapware.

Planning the install

  • Power: a heated rail needs a power supply. A licensed electrician should install it, and plan the wiring before the walls are sheeted and tiled.
  • Transformer: the Caroma Liano II and Urbane II horizontal and vertical heated rails list the transformer as not included. Check the product page and have your electrician supply the correct one.
  • Position: keep the rail clear of the shower spray and allow room for towels to hang freely. Place it where you can reach it from the shower or bath.
  • Fixing: add timber noggins behind the wall lining so the rail sits firm.

Heated rails sit alongside the rest of our bathroom accessories, including robe hooks and toilet roll holders in the same ranges from Caroma and Meir.

FAQs

Do I need an electrician to install a heated towel rail?

Yes. Hard-wired heated towel rails must be installed by a licensed electrician. Plan the wiring and the switch position before the walls are sheeted and tiled.

Is the transformer included with Caroma heated towel rails?

The Caroma Liano II and Urbane II horizontal and vertical heated rails list the transformer as not included. Your electrician can supply and fit the correct one. Check each product page for details.

Should I choose a horizontal, vertical or ladder heated rail?

Choose horizontal for a wide wall above a bath or under a window. Vertical suits a narrow wall beside a vanity or shower. A ladder holds more towels, which is useful for a family bathroom.

Can a heated towel rail match my tapware?

Yes. Every heated rail in this collection comes in black, gold, nickel, bronze and gunmetal. Choose the same finish as your mixers for a matched bathroom.
