FAQs
What height basin mixer do I need for an above-counter basin?
Use a mid tower mixer for a shallow above-counter basin and a tower, tall or gooseneck mixer for a deeper vessel basin. The spout should sit clear of the rim with room for your hands underneath. Compare the basin height with the mixer height on each product page before you order.
What is the difference between a mid tower and a tower basin mixer?
Both are taller than a standard mixer. A mid tower sits in between and suits shallow above-counter or semi-recessed basins. A full tower is taller again and suits deeper bowls that sit on top of the bench.
Should I choose a basin mixer or a wall mixer and spout?
A basin mixer mounts on the bench and is easier to install and replace. A wall mixer and spout keep the benchtop clear and easy to wipe, but the valve has to go into the wall before tiling. Choose early if you want the wall option.
Does a gooseneck basin mixer splash more?
It can if the spout is too high for a shallow basin, because the water has further to fall. Gooseneck mixers work best with deeper basins. Match the spout height to the bowl depth and the splashing stays under control.
