About Nood Co

Nood Co is an Australian maker of concrete basins, cast by hand so each piece has a soft, natural surface with slight variation. The range is built around simple geometric shapes and a broad colour palette, so you can match a basin to your tiles rather than the other way round.

Shapes in the range

• Round: Bowl, Hoop, Funl, Mill, Tubb and Prism Circle. See round basins.

Wall hung or on the bench

Most Nood Co basins can be mounted on the wall or sit on top of a vanity or bench. Wall hung suits small rooms and a minimal look, with no cabinet beneath. Surface mounting turns the basin into a feature on a timber or stone top. Browse wall hung basins and surface mount basins to compare.

Choosing taps for a concrete basin

On a bench, a concrete basin sits above the top, so the tap needs to clear the rim. Use a tall basin mixer beside the basin, or a wall mixer and spout set into the wall before tiling. Shelf basins are the exception, as the mixer mounts on the ledge. The natural character of concrete pairs well with brushed brass, gunmetal and black tapware.

Caring for concrete

Concrete is a natural, porous material. Wipe up spills such as hair dye, oils and toothpaste promptly, and clean with mild, pH-neutral products rather than abrasive or acidic cleaners. Follow the care notes on each product page.
