What is in a vanity package

Each package brings together the four pieces that usually take the longest to match:

• a 900mm cabinet;
• a Vein Tech Taj Mahal porcelain top;
• a round fluted basin;
• an LED mirror.

Both packages are part of Serano Surfaces, Design Tiles' own range. The pieces are chosen to work together, so you skip the job of matching a top, basin and mirror from different suppliers.

Ballina or Broadhurst?

Ballina 900mm wall hung package: the cabinet fixes to the wall and leaves the floor clear. It suits modern ensuites, small bathrooms and anyone who wants easy cleaning underneath. Compare more wall hung vanities.

Broadhurst 900mm floor standing package: an oak and rattan cabinet on turned legs, with an arched LED mirror. It has a relaxed furniture look for coastal, classic and Hamptons-style bathrooms, and suits rooms where the pipes come up through the floor. Compare more floor standing vanities.

Why a Taj Mahal porcelain top

Taj Mahal is a quartzite known for warm, creamy tones and soft veining. A porcelain top gives you that look and, like all porcelain, needs no sealing and resists stains from makeup and toiletries. The same warm palette works with travertine, limestone and beige floors.

What you still need

• Tapware: pick a mixer to suit the basin and the height of the top. A basin mixer in brushed brass or gold picks up the warmth of the Taj Mahal top.
• Plumbing: your plumber connects the waste and water, set out to suit the cabinet.
• Electrics: check the product page for how the LED mirror is powered. If it is hard-wired, a licensed electrician must connect it.
