Floor tiles for bathrooms, kitchens, laundries and living areas, from hard-wearing porcelain in 600 x 600 and 600 x 1200 mm to marble mosaics and Spanish and Italian ranges.

Floor tiles for every room

Everything in this collection is rated for floors, so you can choose with confidence. Porcelain makes up a large share of the range: it is dense, hard-wearing and needs no sealing. You will also find marble and natural stone, including the Alhambra Flower mosaics in Botticino, Sage Green, Viola, Travertine Beige and Portuguese Limestone, plus Spanish ranges such as Bottega, Coral, Durango and Lamu, and Italian porcelain such as Boost Expression.

For an everyday floor on a sensible budget, the Builders Range covers the popular looks. Polar Ice and Dusk White keep a room bright, Calacatta Vero and Multi Carrara give soft marble veining, and Contempo Earth and Patrone Ash bring warmer, stone-like tones.

Choosing the right size

  • 600 x 600 mm is the most common floor size in this range. It is easy to lay and suits almost any room.
  • 600 x 1200 mm and 1200 x 1200 mm give fewer grout lines for open-plan living. See large format tiles, and allow 20 percent extra for these.
  • 300 x 300 mm and mosaics follow the falls in a shower floor and suit small rooms, borders and patterned floors.

Slip rating and finish

Every tile page lists its slip rating. P3 is the usual choice for indoor home floors, and most floor tiles in this collection are rated P3. For showers that need extra grip, ramps, outdoor areas and pool surrounds, look for P4 or P5 in anti-slip tiles and outdoor tiles.

Finish matters as much as the rating. Matt is the most common floor finish here and hides footprints well. Honed stone is smooth with a gentle sheen. Polished and lappato tiles reflect light and suit dry living areas, but are more slippery when wet. Textured tiles such as Micro Cement White Textured add grip and a soft concrete look.

Planning your floor

Measure each room in square metres, add 10 to 15 percent for cuts and breakages, and use our quote calculator to work out the number of boxes. Run the same tile up the walls or pair it with a contrasting wall tile, then pick up grout and adhesive from tiling supplies. If you would like a second opinion, book a free design consultation.

FAQs

What is the best tile for a floor that gets heavy foot traffic?

Porcelain is the most practical choice. It is dense, resists scratches and stains, and needs no sealing. A matt or textured finish also hides wear and footprints better than gloss.

Can I use a polished tile on a floor?

Yes, in dry areas such as living rooms and hallways. Polished tiles are more slippery when wet, so for bathrooms, laundries and entries choose a matt, honed or textured finish with at least a P3 rating.

What size floor tile makes a room look bigger?

Larger tiles such as 600 x 1200 mm mean fewer grout lines, which makes a floor look calmer and more spacious. A grout close to the tile colour helps too. Large tiles need a very flat subfloor, so check with your tiler first.

Do natural stone floor tiles need sealing?

Yes. Marble, limestone and travertine are porous and should be sealed after laying and resealed over time. Porcelain floor tiles do not need sealing.

How many boxes of floor tiles do I need?

Measure the floor in square metres, add 10 to 15 percent for cuts, or 20 percent for large formats, then divide by the coverage per box on the tile page. Our tile pages add 15 percent wastage by default.
