Robe and towel hooks for bathrooms, ensuites and laundries from Caroma, Meir and ADP, in single, double and large sizes and finishes that match your tapware.

Small fittings that do a lot of work

A robe hook takes up almost no wall space, yet it holds a bathrobe, hand towel or bath towel within reach of the shower. In a small ensuite, a pair of hooks can do the job of a towel rail. This collection brings together hooks from Caroma, Meir and ADP so you can match them to the taps you have chosen.

Hook styles

  • Single robe hooks: the Caroma Riviere, Liano II and Urbane II robe hooks, the Meir Round and Curvaé hooks, and the ADP Eternal hook.
  • Double hooks: the Meir Curvaé double robe hook holds two items on one fitting.
  • Large and small sizes: Contura II comes in large and small hooks, and Liano II adds a large wall hook for heavier towels.
  • Universal: the Urbane II Universal robe hook is part of a modular accessory system that also includes rails and roll holders.

Where to place robe hooks

Put a hook within an arm's reach of the shower door or bath, so you can grab a towel without stepping onto a wet floor. Common spots are beside the shower screen, on the back of the door and next to the vanity for a hand towel. Hang adult robe hooks at around shoulder height, and add a lower hook for children. Keep hooks clear of door swings and light switches. In a laundry, a row of hooks near the door is handy for bags, aprons and hand towels.

Fixing into tiles

Most hooks screw into the wall through the tiles. Ask your tiler or plumber to mark positions before tiling, add a timber nogging behind the plasterboard for strength, and drill tiles with a tile bit. Choose the same finish as your towel rails and toilet roll holders, or browse all bathroom accessories and gold tapware.

FAQs

How high should a robe hook be mounted?

For adults, most people mount robe hooks at around shoulder height so a robe hangs clear of the floor. In a family bathroom, add a second hook lower down for children. Check that a long robe will not touch a wet floor.

Is a robe hook or a towel rail better in a small bathroom?

A towel rail lets a towel dry spread out, while a hook takes much less wall space. In a tight ensuite, two hooks near the shower often work better than a rail. Many people use both: a rail for the bath towel and a hook for a robe.

Can robe hooks be fixed to tiled walls?

Yes. Drill through the tile with a tile bit and fix into a nogging or a suitable wall plug. Planning hook positions before tiling makes the job easier and stronger.

Will the hook match my tap finish exactly?

Choosing a hook from the same brand and range as your tapware gives the closest match in colour and shape. Most hooks here come in chrome, nickel, gold and black, and many also come in bronze and gunmetal.
