Wall spouts and basin/bath outlets from Caroma, Meir and ADP, plus swivel bath, hob and curved spouts, to pair with a wall mixer or a set of wall taps.

What a spout does

A spout, or outlet, is the part that delivers water into a basin or bath. It does not turn the water on by itself. It works with a separate wall mixer or a pair of wall top assemblies. This setup keeps the vanity or bath edge clear and gives a clean, built-in look.

Types of spout

  • Wall spouts and basin/bath outlets: fixed to the wall above a basin or bath. Caroma offers Liano II and Riviere outlets in 175 mm and 210 mm, Urbane II and Contura II in 180 mm and 220 mm, and ADP has the Eternal and Soul wall spouts.
  • Mini wall spouts: the ADP Eternal and Soul mini spouts suit small basins and tight spaces.
  • Swivel bath outlets: Riviere, Liano II and Urbane II 220 mm swivel outlets turn aside so you can reach the bath easily.
  • Hob swivel outlets: Liano II hob outlets in 160 mm and 200 mm mount on the bath hob or bench rather than the wall.
  • Curved and high-rise spouts: the Meir Round curved 130 mm spout, the Universal Round curved spouts and the Meir Round high-rise swivel wall spout.

Getting the length right

Spout length is the most important measurement. The water should land near the centre of the basin bowl or over the bath, not on the edge. Measure from the finished wall to the centre of the bowl, then choose the spout length closest to that number. A wall-hung or semi-recessed basin needs a different reach from a vessel basin sitting on the bench.

Cover plates and finishes

Urbane II outlets come with a round or square cover plate, and Liano II with a round plate. Most spouts come in chrome, gold, nickel and black, and some in gunmetal, bronze, copper and white. Match the spout to your basins and bath fillers, and keep the finish the same as the mixer. Our tapware is WELS rated and WaterMark certified. See basin mixers if you prefer a tap on the bench.

FAQs

What length wall spout do I need for my basin?

Measure from the finished wall to the centre of the basin bowl. Choose the spout that brings the water closest to that centre point. Common sizes here run from about 130 mm to 220 mm.

Does a wall spout need a separate tap?

Yes. A spout only delivers the water. You will need a wall mixer or a pair of wall taps to turn it on and set the temperature, installed on the wall nearby.

What is a swivel bath outlet?

It is a bath spout that can turn to the side. It makes it easier to bathe children or clean the bath, and helps on a bath where the spout would otherwise be in the way.

What is the difference between a wall outlet and a hob outlet?

A wall outlet is fixed to the wall above the basin or bath. A hob outlet sits on the flat ledge of the bath or bench, which suits baths set away from the wall or walls that are hard to plumb.
