Texture you can feel

3D tiles have a raised or carved surface, so the wall changes through the day as light moves across it. They add depth to a plain colour, which makes them perfect for neutral schemes where pattern would feel too busy. Almost all of this collection is Spanish, and most of it is in soft cream, beige and white.

Porcelanosa textured wall tiles

The largest group is Porcelanosa ceramic wall tiles at 596 x 1500 mm:

  • Treccia Blanco and Treccia Natural: a woven basketweave texture.
  • Treccia Deco Natural: basketweave with a floral motif.
  • Line Terra Bone: fine linear ribs on a concrete effect base.
  • Liston Hannover Bone Topo: a stone effect in raised strips.
  • Gent Roble: a timber effect with real grain texture.
  • Nantes Mosaico Caliza: a stone effect mosaic pattern in one large tile.

A tile this size covers a wall with very few joints, so the texture reads as one surface.

Carved stone looks in porcelain

For a bolder relief, Noble Stone uses 3D carving to give a marble-look porcelain a sculpted face. Bottega Series is a Spanish floor and wall range with a textured option, and Crema Marfil combines a 3D wall tile with a GriMatt floor finish rated P4, so the floor and feature wall match. Sizes run from 600 x 600 mm up to 1200 x 1200 mm.

Lighting and placement

Texture needs light at an angle to show. A downlight close to the wall, an LED strip in a niche or wall lights beside a mirror will bring out the shadows. Good spots include the wall behind a vanity or bath, a shower feature wall, a kitchen island or a fireplace surround. Keep the surrounding tiles plain so the texture is the focus.

For narrow vertical ribs and stone flutes, see fluted tiles. For flat versions of these looks, browse Spanish tiles and large format tiles.

FAQs

Are 3D tiles hard to keep clean?

Not usually. Most reliefs are smooth and shallow, so a soft cloth or brush and mild cleaner is enough. In a shower, rinse after use and use a squeegee on the flatter areas to limit soap build-up.

Can 3D texture tiles go in a shower?

Yes. Every tile in this collection is tagged for showers, and most are glazed wall tiles that handle water well. Choose a design with a gentle relief if you want easy cleaning.

Can I use 3D tiles on the floor?

Most are wall tiles only. Crema Marfil is the exception, offering a GriMatt floor finish rated P4 to match its 3D wall tile. Always check the product page before using a textured tile underfoot.

How do I make a textured wall stand out?

Light it from the side or from directly above, close to the wall. Angled light creates shadows in the relief, while flat front-on light makes texture look almost smooth.
