Tiles from Spain

Spain is one of the world's biggest tile producers, with a long tradition of glazed ceramics and modern porcelain. Our Spanish collection brings together well-known names and smaller ranges, from architectural wall tiles to glass pool mosaics and handmade glazes.

Porcelanosa

Porcelanosa is a Spanish tile maker known for large, textured wall tiles. Our range includes the 596 x 1500 mm Hannover, Terra, Santorini, Taranto Marfil and Gent Roble wall tiles, the Treccia basketweave textures and the Nantes Mosaico stone effect. Floor and wall series include Bottega, Coral, Durango, Lamu and Vela.

Ezarri glass pool mosaics

More than half of this collection is Ezarri glass mosaic, made for pool interiors, waterlines and spas. Choose from the Niebla, Lisa, Iris, Gemma, Space and Aus Designer series in blues, greens, greys and pearl tones. See all glass mosaic pool tiles.

Handmade and decorative wall tiles

Spain is famous for glazed wall tiles with a handmade look. Try:

  • Manual Series: handmade Spanish subway tiles.
  • Matcha: a gloss porcelain subway in 60 x 186 mm.
  • Majorca: a 100 x 100 mm porcelain wall tile.
  • Iris Pearlescent: a ceramic gloss wall tile with a soft sheen.
  • Kanji, Vestige, Arou, Coco and Kasbah Star: plain, subway, square and star shapes.

Stone, marble looks and outdoor

  • Nero Marquina and Rosa Murcia: tumbled marble in 150 x 150 mm and 305 x 305 mm squares and subway shapes.
  • Noble Stone and Lumia: marble look porcelain, Noble Stone with a 3D carved surface and Lumia in large format.
  • Cairo: a limestone look porcelain with an EZIGrip finish for indoor and outdoor use. See outdoor tiles.
  • Bauhome: a cement look floor and wall tile.

Natural marble needs sealing, while Spanish porcelain does not. Comparing origins? See our Italian tiles.

FAQs

Are Spanish tiles porcelain or ceramic?

Both. Spain makes dense porcelain for floors and outdoor areas as well as glazed ceramic wall tiles. Many of the Porcelanosa wall tiles in our range are ceramic, while the marble looks and outdoor tiles are porcelain. The material is listed on each product page.

Which Spanish tiles suit a pool?

Ezarri glass mosaics are made for full pool interiors and waterlines. For the surrounds, choose an outdoor-rated porcelain such as the Cairo limestone look with its grip finish.

Do handmade Spanish tiles vary in colour?

Yes, and that is the point. Handmade and handmade-look glazes shift in tone and thickness from tile to tile. Mix tiles from several boxes as you lay them so the variation spreads evenly across the wall.

Is Nero Marquina a Spanish marble?

Yes. Nero Marquina is a black Spanish marble with fine white veining. Ours is tumbled, which softens the edges and gives a relaxed, aged look, and like all marble it needs sealing.
