Ultra-Block
- Australian made
Product Description
Ultra-Block is the sealer that goes on before the tile does. Porous stone, terracotta and encaustic tiles absorb moisture and salts from the bed and the grout, and once that happens it is very hard to undo.
Used for pre-sealing, dip sealing and six-sided sealing — coating every face of the tile, including the back and edges, before installation. That is the one job a topical sealer cannot do afterwards.
Specify it for saltillo, terracotta, encaustics and anything else where efflorescence or picture framing is a risk.

Test first. Always test an inconspicuous area or a spare offcut first to confirm ease of application, the number of coats needed, colour stability and the result you want. The end user must determine the product's suitability for their own surface.
Not a waterproofing agent. A penetrating sealer is not a waterproofing membrane. It will not prevent surface wear, scuff marks, or etching from acidic or harsh products. Wipe spills up promptly to minimise staining.
Re-seal as necessary. Sealer life depends on traffic, surface hardness and how the area is cleaned. Pressure washing and high-alkaline, acidic or solvent cleaners shorten it. High-traffic and outdoor areas need re-sealing more often.
Coverage, dwell and cure times are the manufacturer's published figures and vary with the density, porosity and texture of the surface. Always test an inconspicuous area first.
Not sure which one you need? Tell us the surface and the look you are after and we will match the right sealer, cleaner and applicator.
