Natural limestone and limestone-look porcelain in soft cream, beige, white and grey, for floors and walls inside and for patios, paths and pool surrounds outside.

A calm, chalky stone

Limestone is a sedimentary stone with a fine, even texture and few dramatic veins. It reads as soft and quiet, which is why it suits both a minimal bathroom and a relaxed coastal living area. Colours in this range sit in a tight, warm band: cream, beige, white and pale grey, with a few earthier tones.

Natural limestone

Our natural stone options include the Apollo Series, Crema Sienna and Sienna Earth tiles, Utica honed mosaics and the Mini Bamboo Utica flute mosaic for a textured feature. Outdoors, there are 30 mm pavers, French pattern sets and Crema Siena Limestone Crazy Pave. CZ Laguna and CZ Roma bring limestone to walls as stone cladding.

Like all natural stone, limestone is porous and should be sealed. It is softer than granite, so a honed or tumbled finish suits it best and hides everyday wear.

Limestone-look porcelain

Porcelain gives the same soft look with no sealing. Ranges include Limestone Blanco, Limestone Look, Soft Stone, Lucca, MayaStone and Skyline Cloudline, plus Boost Icor. Most come in 600 x 600, 300 x 600 and 600 x 1200 mm.

For outdoor areas, Cairo and Jura are limestone-look EZIGrip tiles made for wet and exterior use, and Concord French Pattern lays a modular stone paving pattern. Slip ratings across the collection run from P3 for indoor floors to P4 and P5 for patios and pool surrounds.

Inside to outside

Limestone is one of the easiest looks to carry from a living room out to a terrace. Use a matt tile inside and its grip version outside, in the same colour and size, so the floor flows through the doors. Pair it with timber, linen and brushed metal, or contrast it with a fluted feature wall. Comparing pale stones? Look at travertine for more texture and beige tiles for more options.

FAQs

What is the difference between limestone and travertine?

Travertine is a type of limestone formed around mineral springs, which leaves small holes and a more textured surface. Limestone is usually denser and more even, with a smoother, chalkier look. Both are calcium-based and should be sealed.

Can limestone be used around a pool?

Yes, if you choose a dense limestone paver or a limestone-look porcelain with a P4 or P5 grip finish. Natural limestone must be sealed for pool areas. Porcelain needs no sealing and is unaffected by pool water.

Does limestone scratch easily?

Limestone is softer than granite or porcelain, so it can scratch and wear over time in busy areas. A honed or tumbled finish disguises marks well. Use felt pads under furniture and sweep away grit regularly.

Can I get the same limestone look inside and outside?

Yes. Several limestone-look porcelain ranges come in a matt finish for indoor floors and a grip finish for outdoors in matching colours. That lets the floor run through doors without a visible change.
