Gold and brushed brass tapware, showers and accessories from Caroma, Meir and ADP, in warm brass and softer champagne tones for bathrooms and kitchens.

Brass, gold and champagne

Gold tapware covers a family of warm metal finishes. Brushed brass has a satin, slightly textured surface and a rich yellow-gold tone. Champagne is a paler, softer gold. Each brand mixes its own shade, so compare the swatch on each product page and try to keep one brand per room for an even match.

The widest choice of warm finishes

Gold is offered on almost every product we stock.

  • Caroma: Urbane II, Liano II, Contura II and Riviere tapware, showers, towel rails, heated towel rails and sensor soap dispensers.
  • Meir: the Round, Piccola and Curvaé designs, from tall basin mixers to shower rails.
  • ADP: the Eternal and Soul ranges, including gooseneck shower sets.

You can fit out a whole bathroom in brass, from basin mixers and wall mixers to bath fillers, towel rails and robe hooks, plus kitchen mixers for the kitchen.

Tiles and vanities that suit brass

  • Natural stone looks: brass warms up beige travertine and limestone tiles.
  • Marble: brushed brass and white marble tiles is a classic, elegant pairing.
  • Greens: brass with green tiles, from sage to deep forest, gives a rich, vintage look.
  • Black and white: brass adds warmth to a monochrome room, such as black floor tiles and white walls.
  • Vanities: timber, fluted and painted vanities in green, navy or white all suit brass.

Caring for brass and gold tapware

These are finished taps, not raw brass, so they do not need polishing. Wipe them with a soft cloth, warm water and a little mild soap, then dry them. Never use brass polish, scourers or acidic limescale removers, which can wear through the finish. Drying after use keeps hard water marks away.

FAQs

What is the difference between brushed brass and gold tapware?

Brushed brass is one type of gold finish, with a satin texture and a rich yellow tone. Other gold finishes can be shinier or paler, such as champagne. Check the finish name on each product page.

Does brass tapware tarnish?

Raw brass tarnishes, but finished tapware has a protective finish that keeps its colour with simple care. Avoid brass polish and abrasive cleaners, which can wear through the finish. Mild soap, water and a soft cloth are enough.

Does gold tapware look good with black?

Yes. Gold against black tiles or a black vanity looks dramatic and luxurious. Many people also pair brass taps with black accents in the mirror frame, lighting or shower screen.

What tiles go with brushed brass tapware?

Warm stone looks such as travertine and limestone, white marble, greens and terracotta all suit brushed brass. It also brightens plain white tiles and adds warmth to grey.
