The tiles behind our Concord Curves look: Opera White stone look, Tufa Xcut porcelain, Gleeze Blue and Windermare subway in Mist and Meadow, plus a sample box for home.

Cool whites, soft stone and two shades of colour

Concord Curves pairs calm neutrals with gentle colour. Opera White is a stone look floor and wall tile that keeps the base bright. Tufa Xcut is a porcelain with the cloudy, cross cut look of travertine, adding warmth and movement underfoot. Gleeze brings in blue, and Windermare subway tiles in Mist and Meadow, a soft sage green, add colour to the walls.

The palette works in bathrooms, laundries and kitchens. It reads fresh and coastal without leaning on bright white alone.

Mixing formats in one room

This look uses several tile sizes at once, which is part of its charm:

  • Large format tiles up to 600 x 1200 mm for floors and big walls, with fewer grout lines.
  • Windermare subway at 75 x 225 mm, a slim format that suits splashbacks and shower walls. See more subway tiles.
  • Smaller square formats for features and niches.

A good rule is to keep the large tiles neutral and let the smaller ones carry the colour. That way the blue and sage feel deliberate, not busy.

Where each tile fits

  • Floors: Opera White or Tufa Xcut. Between them the look covers P3, P4 and P5 slip ratings, so check each product page for the finish that suits a bathroom, shower or outdoor area. See anti-slip tiles for more grip options.
  • Walls and splashbacks: Windermare in Mist or Meadow, or Gleeze Blue as a feature. Browse blue tiles and sage green tiles for alternatives.
  • Showers: pair a grippy floor with a subway wall for an easy-clean, classic finish.

See the tiles together first

Blues and greens change a lot between showroom light and your home. The Concord Curves Shop the Look Tile Sample Box holds the tiles from this look, so you can check them against your cabinetry and paint. Find every box in sample packs, compare the other Shop the Look boxes, and see finished rooms on our projects page.

FAQs

Why does the look use two colours of Windermare subway?

Using Mist and Meadow together adds colour without one bold wall. Meadow is a sage green, and pairing it with a second shade from the same range keeps the size, glaze and edges consistent. The range comes in more colours if you want to change the mix.

What does Xcut mean in Tufa Xcut?

Xcut is short for cross cut. It mimics travertine sliced across its layers, which gives a cloudy, mottled pattern rather than long straight bands. It is a porcelain tile, so it does not need sealing.

Which Concord Curves tile should go on the bathroom floor?

Use Opera White or Tufa Xcut on the floor and keep the Windermare subway for walls. Choose P3 or higher for a bathroom floor and P4 or P5 for a shower floor. Each product page lists the slip rating of every finish.

Can any of these tiles go outdoors?

One tile in this look is tagged for outdoor and pool use, and the look includes a P5 grip rating. Check the product page for the outdoor finish before you plan a patio. Wall tiles such as the subway should stay indoors.

Can I swap the blue for another colour?

Yes. Gleeze is the accent, so changing it changes the mood without touching the floor. Many people keep Opera White and Tufa Xcut and test a different accent from our blue, green or white ranges. Our designers can help you choose in a free consultation.
