The tiles from our Calming Loftus project: warm white Norrock porcelain, sage green Botanica kit kat and handmade Bejmat zellige, with a sample box to test the palette at home.

A soft palette of warm white, sage and handmade glaze

Calming Loftus is built on three tiles that sit quietly together. Norrock Warm White is a floor and wall porcelain that sets a pale, even base. Botanica is a porcelain kit kat mosaic in sage green, which brings in colour without shouting. Zellige Bejmat is a handmade Moroccan tile with the glossy, uneven glaze zellige is known for, so the wall catches light differently across every piece.

The result is a light, restful room with one green note and a little handmade texture. It suits bathrooms, ensuites, laundries and kitchen splashbacks, anywhere you want calm rather than contrast.

How the three tiles work together

  • Norrock covers the big surfaces. It is the floor tile of the look and comes in large format, so a floor or a full wall has fewer grout lines.
  • Botanica kit kat works as the feature: a vanity wall, a shower niche or a splashback. Its slim vertical fingers add rhythm. See more kit kat tiles and sage green tiles.
  • Bejmat zellige adds the handmade layer. Use it where people look closely, such as behind a basin. Browse the full zellige range.

Keep the grout pale so the warm white reads as one surface, or pick a soft green-grey to tie it to the Botanica.

Try it before you tile

Colours shift with light, and zellige varies from piece to piece by design. The Calming Loftus Tile Sample Box holds the tiles from this look, so you can lay them side by side in your own room, next to your benchtop, timber and tapware. You will find it on this page and in our sample packs.

Make it your own

You can swap one element and keep the mood. Try a different tile from our handmade tiles, or keep the palette and change the format with subway tiles. FAQs

Which tile in the Calming Loftus look can go on the floor?

Norrock is the floor and wall tile in this look, so it is the one to run across the floor. Botanica kit kat and Bejmat zellige are best kept to walls, splashbacks and feature areas. Check the slip rating on the Norrock page before you choose a finish for a bathroom floor.

Why does zellige look uneven?

Zellige is made by hand, so each tile has its own shade, small edge chips and a wavy glaze. That variation is the reason people choose it. Lay out tiles from several boxes before fixing so the colour spreads evenly across the wall.

What grout colour suits warm white and sage green tiles?

A pale grout keeps the look soft and lets the warm white read as one surface. A light grey-green grout can link the sage kit kat to the rest of the room. Stark white or dark grout will break up the calm feel.

Can the Calming Loftus tiles be used in a kitchen?

Yes. All three tiles suit kitchens, and the kit kat or zellige makes a good splashback behind a pale benchtop. Norrock can carry through to the kitchen floor for a joined-up look.

Is the sample box the same as ordering single samples?

The box brings the tiles from this look together, so you can see how they sit side by side. You can still order a sample of any one tile from its product page, and full-size samples are available by phone.
