Quiet Luxury Retreat – Lilyfield House Renovation
A full-scale home renovation in Lilyfield has redefined this 345m² residence into a refined, cohesive family home. Delivered by Pinnacle Building Group, the project involved a complete internal and external transformation across five bedrooms, five bathrooms, outdoor entertaining zones, and pool areas.
Sold in 2025 for $4,575,000, this property demonstrates how considered material selection – particularly natural stone and porcelain tiles – can elevate both liveability and long-term value.
A Cohesive Exterior: Limestone Pool & Porch Detailing
The outdoor areas set the tone for the renovation.
The pool surrounds and porch risers were finished in Crema Novolda Sandblasted Limestone 400x600x15mm, delivering a soft, tactile finish ideal for exterior paving. For the pool coping, the 400x600x30mm format was used to create visual weight and durability along the waterline.
The sandblasted limestone finish enhances slip resistance while maintaining a timeless European aesthetic – perfect for Australian outdoor entertaining zones.
The Cabana Bathroom: Layered Neutrals with a Japanese Accent
In the outdoor cabana bathroom, the foundation was built using our Ivory Stone 600×600 porcelain tilesacross both floors and walls – one of our best-selling stone-look tiles for good reason.
To introduce personality and contrast, the shower feature wall showcases a japanese handmade glazed porcelain mosaic tile the Kazoku Hatsu Border Hand-Glazed Japanese Mosaic in Aqua, adding depth, craftsmanship and a subtle coastal tone.
This pairing balances softness and detail, proving that neutral bathroom tiles can still feel layered and expressive.
A Whole-Home Approach: Ivory Stone as the Foundation
One of the defining design decisions in this Lilyfield renovation was continuity.
Our Ivory Stone 600×600 was used throughout:
- Main bathroom floors and walls - Ground floor ensuite - Powder room - Master ensuite - Additional bathrooms
This approach is ideal for large-scale house renovations seeking visual harmony across multiple wet areas.
Master Ensuite: Checkerboard with Natural Stone Character
Upstairs in the master ensuite, the neutral Ivory Stone backdrop is elevated with a statement shower natural stone feature.
The shower floor and walls incorporate a Botticino Square Tumbled Stone mosaic paired with Viola Square 100×100 in a checkerboard layout– introducing movement, texture and classic European influence.
The tumbled finish stone in neutral tones softens the pattern, preventing the checkerboard from feeling overly graphic, while maintaining a luxury stone aesthetic.
Main Bathroom Downstairs: Textural Contrast
In the main bathroom downstairs, texture takes centre stage.
The walls are finished in a beautiful linea textured stone look porcelain tile Cosmic Pearl 3D Line 600×1200, introducing subtle linear dimension and shadow play. This is paired with a soft stone look tile with a soft vein throughout, Ivory Stone 600×600 on the floors – maintaining consistency while adding architectural interest.
Bathroom vanities in Polytec Coastal Oak add warmth and complement the natural stone palette throughout the home. Finished off with our Large Caspian Wall Light
Why This Renovation Works
This Lilyfield renovation succeeds because of three key principles:
✔️ A consistent base tile across all bathrooms ✔️ Feature tiles used strategically for individuality ✔️ Exterior materials that complement interior finishes
The result is a refined, high-value home where material selection plays a central architectural role.
